For those willing to travel, Nåttarö takes over 2 hours from central station and is almost the furthest south you can travel in the Stockholm archipelago. Mostly made up of thick forest, this island is maybe perfect for hikers but is also perfect for sunbathers too.

From the ferry port, the walk immediately in front of you will take you to Storsand (Big Sand), an aptly named beach that is both big and sandy. Many who visit this island will go directly here and if you are going to be one of them, you’ll pass by the Nåttarö pub and restaurant and summer houses. Towards the beach, you will also spot a cave.

To the north, there is another swimming spot and to the south there are small lakes and nature trails.

Note: We are yet to explore this island properly so this review will be updated.
